Lap Swim

Recreation pool is available for lap swim. Please continue to check this site for updates.

Lap swimming is available Monday-Friday.

Currently we are open from Monday through Friday 11:00am-5pm in the recreation pool.

Know before you go:

  • Swimmers will enter through the main entry doors of the SRAC.

  • Members must bring their Tower ID to be scanned at the Aquatic Entry Booth every visit.

  • Payment of the $45/month temporary Aquatic Only Membership will be collected upon your first visit. Only Debit/Credit Card accepted.  No cash. For SJSU faculty & staff only, not SJSU students.

Upon your visit, our students and faculty and staff members must comply with the following guidelines:

  • Tower ID card is required upon entry.

  • Complete a SJSU SU, Inc. health screening self-assessment prior to entering the facility each day via QR Code or verbally at the entry to the Aquatic Center.

  • Wear their mask on campus and while in the aquatic facility area until they enter the water.

General Information

Be advised that current protocols are subject to change at any time as necessary to comply with federal, state, county orders or regulations and university requirements. Everyone must abide by California, Santa Clara County, and San Jose State University Health mandates. Anyone having any symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or other viral illnesses may not be present at the Spartan Recreation Aquatic Center pool.

  • Swimmers must come in dressed ready to swim. Locker areas and showers will be unavailable for use at this time.

  • We encourage swimmers to shower at home before arriving.

  • Please remember to take all your personal belongings and equipment with you.

  • Congregating around the pool deck, or other areas of the facility is not permitted.

  • Swimmers may bring their own towel, goggles, kick board, etc. and other personal items needed to swim and may only be shared between members of the same household.

  • Locker rooms and showers will be closed for use. Restrooms will be available for use (1 person occupancy at a time).

  • Pool water temperatures will vary daily slightly and are being worked on. Water temperatures will be posted at facility entrance daily.
