Spartan Recreation & Aquatic Center (SRAC)

  • Currently enrolled SJSU students that pay the Student Union Inc. Fee during, fall, spring and summer terms automatically receive a membership to the facility and access to programs by Spartan Recreation. 

  • We also provide a limited number of memberships year-round to non-matriculated students, faculty/staff, alumni and sponsored members of the campus community. 

  • During the summer months, we welcome the broader community beyond SJSU to enjoy our aquatic pool area by purchasing a Summer Aquatic Community Membership or Day Passes to use the pool areas only.  

First and foremost, we are a student-centered facility that supports the co-curricular experience and needs of SJSU students.  In addition. we support the missions of the Student Union and San Jose State University and the SJSU campus community.

Do children get in for free?

All visitors, regardless of age, must purchase a day pass.

How long does a day pass last?

Day passes expire when SRAC closes on date of purchase.

Is the SRAC offering summer memberships?

No; only day passes are available.

Membership Categories

Semester Memberships

  • Currently enrolled SJSU students that have paid the Student Union Inc. Semester Student Fee as part of their registration fees for the fall, spring or summer term.

  • Any SJSU student who does not pay the Student Union Inc. Semester Student Fee for the fall, spring or summer term.

  • All current SJSU faculty and staff, Emeritus and visiting faculty are included in this category. Individuals are required to show proof they are a current faculty.

  • SJSU Alumni must show valid membership to the SJSU Alumni Association for membership initation and renewals.

  • This membership is offered to individuals who are sponsored by a SJSU student, Faculty/Staff, or a Alumni who are current members of the SRAC. Sponsor must be present for membership initiation and renewals.

  • Any non-member must be accompanied by a current member to enter into the SRAC. Guests must be 18 years of age or older to use the interior of the SRAC. Guest passes may be purchased for minors under 18 during the summer to use the outdoor aquatics area only.

    $20 Alumni, Faculty/Staff, Community Sponsored

Membership Details

SRAC Semester

Includes full access to all facility amenities and benefits during SRAC operating hours.  Membership is valid starting the first day of the semester through the Friday before students move onto campus for the next term. Must be a SJSU student, SJSU faculty/staff, SJSU alumni or sponsored community member.

SRAC Annual

Includes full access to all facility amenities and benefits during SRAC operating hours.  Membership starts on the date of purchase and is valid for one full calendar year. Must be a SJSU student, SJSU faculty/staff, SJSU alumni or sponsored community member.

Aquatic Annual

Includes access to the pools only during aquatic operating hours, not interior SRAC facility.  Membership starts on the date of purchase and is valid for one full calendar year. Must be a SJSU student, SJSU faculty/staff, SJSU alumni or sponsored community member.

Sponsored Guest Passes

All guest pass purchases are final. Refunds will not be provided for unused or partially used passes.
