The Recreation Pool is closed on Fridays, from 7am to 10am for cleaning.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

New Lap Swim Hours for the 50 meter pool begin on January 12, 2026 

• There are changes taking place this fall at the Spartan Recreation and Aquatic Center regarding lap swim times in the 50 meter pool and recreation pool.

• These changes enable us to stay in alignment with the Student Union mission statement and standard aquatic practices at universities and colleges. 

• New lap swim hours for the 50m pool are now posted on the website and signage at the pool.  

• These hours apply to all customers including faculty, staff, students, and alumni. 

• These hours will not change if a team is away.

• Long course lanes are not available.

• On weekends, both pools are open for lap swim all day, unless the 50 meter pool is reserved for competitions, practices, and special events. 

• The recreation pool will remain available for morning lap swim, and its temperature ranges from 82 to 83 degrees. Lap swimmers are required to share lanes in the recreation pool if it is busy.

• Mondays 12pm to 1pm & 5:30pm to 10pm

• Tuesday 12pm to 3pm & 5:30pm to 10pm

• Wednesday 12pm to 1pm & 5:30pm to 10pm

• Thursday 12pm to 3pm & 5:30pm to 10pm

• Friday 12pm to 1pm & 5:30pm to 10pm

• Saturday 12pm to 7pm

• Sunday 12pm to 7pm

The 50 meter pool is closed all day for SJSU Athletic Competitions on these dates.

Additional Information:

• Diving boards are closed for recreational use.

• Synchronized swimming activity is not permitted at the SRAC pools.

• Pool closes one hour prior to SRAC.

• Group size over 10 people require management approval prior to using the pool.

• Organized birthday parties are not allowed in the pool area.
