Camping and Hiking Adventure - Yosemite National Park

Dates: 3/14-3/16

Registration Fee: $150 (includes permits, camping gear, expert trip leaders, and transportation)

Spring Break Camping Adventure - Grand Canyon National Park

Dates: 3/31-4/6

Pre-Trip Meeting Date: 3/25

Trip Location: Grand Canyon National Park

Registration Fee: $525 SJSU Students, $575 Non-Students (includes permits, accommodations, camping gear, expert trip leaders, and transportation)

Trip Brief:  Looking for an adventurous Spring Break camping trip? Get ready for this exciting camping and hiking adventure to Grand Canyon National Park! We will be departing March 31st and returning April 6th. There will be camping along the way in Death Valley National Park and then at the Grand Canyon. We will be hiking in and around Grand Canyon National Park and enjoying the scenic views and rock formations that the canyon has to offer! This trip covers all transportation, permits, accommodations, camping gear, and our expert trip leaders. Don’t miss out on this chance to enjoy these two National Parks!

Womens Backpacking in Yosemite National Park

Dates: 4/11-4/13

Pre-Trip Meeting Date: 4/8 (Date is subject to change)

Trip Location: Hetch-Hetchy, Yosemite, CA

Registration Fee: $140 SJSU students (includes backpacking gear, permits, transportation, and expert trip leaders)

Trip Brief:  Join us for an unforgettable Women's Backpacking Adventure in Yosemite National Park! This hiking trip is dedicated for women participants and offers a chance to explore one of Yosemite’s hidden gems. This trip will be departing April 11th and arriving back on April 13th.

We’ll hike through the Hetch-Hetchy area, in Yosemite where you’ll enjoy scenic trails, amazing views, and time in nature. This trip requires an intermediate level of hiking experience. Participants should be comfortable with moderate elevation gains, but we highly encourage all experience levels! 

Description of Backpacking: Backpacking is when you go on a hike, but instead of just going for a day, you carry everything you need to camp out overnight. This includes a tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, food, clothes, etc all in a backpack. You walk on trails, stay in nature for a few days, and enjoy what the outdoors has to offer. Backpacking has various difficulty levels, depending on how tough the trail is.

Backpacking in Yosemite National Park

Trip Brief:  Gear up for this Backpacking Trip to Hetch-Hetchy, Yosemite National Park! This trip offers a chance to explore one of Yosemite’s hidden gems. This trip will be departing April 25th and arriving back to campus on April 27th.

Just like the Women's Backpacking Trip, we’ll hike through the Hetch-Hetchy area, where you’ll enjoy scenic trails, amazing views, and time in nature. Biking in Santa Cruz

Dates: 5/3

Trip Location: Santa Cruz, CA

Registration Fee: $75 SJSU students (includes bike rental, transportation, and expert trip leaders)

Registration Deadline: 4/29

Trip Brief:  Get ready for an exciting biking adventure in Santa Cruz! Join us for a fun and scenic ride. This trip is perfect for anyone who loves outdoor activities and wants to explore Santa Cruz.

We’ll provide everything you need, including a bike rental, transportation to and from Santa Cruz, and experienced trip leaders to guide you. Whether you’re an experienced rider or just looking for a fun day outdoors, this trip is a great way to enjoy the fresh air and stunning views.

Visit the Front Desk at the SRAC to sign up. Trip prices are for current SJSU students only with a valid SRAC membership, unless a non-student pricing is specified.
