Spartan Recreation offers students the chance to participate in epic Outdoor Adventures like hiking, camping, surfing, rock climbing, and mountain biking.

All outings are led by student leaders and local experts who are ready to share their passion and outdoor knowledge with you.

All Outdoor Adventure Trips are for all skill levels. Beginners are not only welcome, but encouraged to join us!

Ski and Snowboard Overnight Adventure

  • Trip Dates: 1/21-1/22

  • Trip Location: Dodge Ridge Resort, Pincrest, CA

  • Registration Fee: $50
    Plan A: $175 SJSU Student, $225 Non-Student (Includes lift ticket, lodging, and transportation)
    Plan B: $200 SJSU Student, $250 Non-Student (Includes lift ticket, rental and lesson, lodging, and transportation)

  • Registration Deadline: 1/17

  • Trip Brief: Get ready for an unforgettable ski and snowboard adventure on the slopes at Dodge Ridge Resort! Whether you're an experienced skier or snowboarder, or just starting out, Dodge Ridge offers incredible slopes with stunning mountain views. We’ll depart on 1/21 and stay overnight in Sonora and ski and snowboard the following day on 1/22, returning to campus after. The trip includes transportation, lift tickets, ski/snowboard rental/lesson, accommodations, and expert trip leaders to ensure you have a fantastic time. Snow Play Adventure

  • Trip Dates: 2/1

  • Trip Location: TBA, dependent on snow levels

  • Registration Fee: $75 (includes transportation, snowshoes and sleds)

  • Registration Deadline: 1/28

  • Trip Brief: Get ready for an exciting day in the snow! Join us for a thrilling Snow Play Adventure on 2/1. The location will be determined closer to the date, depending on snow conditions, ensuring we experience the best conditions possible. Whether you’re looking to try snowshoeing/sledding, playing in the snow, or simply enjoy the crisp, fresh air, this trip has something for everyone.

Visit the Front Desk at the SRAC to sign up. Trip prices are for current SJSU students only with a valid SRAC membership, unless a non-student pricing is specified.
