Our backpacking 101 trip is designed for those individuals wishing to take their backpacking skillset to the next level. We’ll be covering a variety of wilderness topics in depth including (but not limited to) map and compass navigation, shelter and fire building, leave no trace ethics, and much more. During this weekend, we’ll be exploring trails and lakes in Desolation Wilderness (near Lake Tahoe).

Dates/Times: Friday October 25 (7am) - Sunday October 27 (5pm)

Deadline to register: Wednesday, October 16

Mandatory pre-trip meeting: Monday, October 21 (7pm-8pm)

Price: $130 Student Only

Strenuosity: 3 - While all of our trips are open to all experience levels, there are some physically demanding aspects of this outing including hiking up to 10 miles in a day with a 30 pound backpack at elevation.
